The project “Sustainable Hydropower Development in Georgia” was implemented in 2012-2015 by Norsk Energi and partners. The aim of the program was to assist the development of an environmentally and socially sustainable hydropower sector in Georgia. The project included activities to support public participation and communication in hydropower development processes, assessments of how to strengthen practice for environmental and social impact assessment (ESIA) for hydropower, as well as capacity building and training.

Sustainable Small Hydropower Development for Energy Security in Armenia

The project "Sustainable Small Hydropower Development for Energy Security" was implemented by a consortium of Norwegian and Armenian partners, managed by Norsk Energi and and funded by a grant from the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The project was implemented during 2011-2014, with the aim to improve the resource efficiency of small hydropower plants (SHPs) in Armenia, and mitigate environmental and social impacts from construction of new SHPs.
