Energy Efficiency Directive generates assignments for Norsk Energi

Wednesday, 04 May 2016.

EU adopted in 2012 the so-called energy efficiency directive. An important provision of this directive is that large industrial companies are required to perform a energy efficiency audit according to the standard EN-16247.

Although Norway has not yet implemented the directive because of the "assessment of EEA relevance", Norsk Energi started receiving requests from the Norwegian and foreign industries to carry out the energy audits. On request of Scandinavian Business Seating AS (design and manufacture of office chairs) we have conducted recently, in cooperation with Bilfinger / Tebodin Netherlands BV, - an energy audit audit of their production plant in Zwolle in the Netherlands, in accordance with the Energy Efficiency Directive. Now we have started the corresponding energy audit of Scandinavian Business Seating AS facilities in Germany (Dusseldorf and Krefeld).

With the experience we now accrue from the foreign companies, we are well positioned to assist the Norwegian industries once Norway adopts the directive.
